Truly an amazing album with pristine production and well written melodies and lyrics - that is to say, great all around. A few years ago, I noticed my young kids singing Fair songs around the house and despite listening to albums all the time, rarely at that age did I hear them repeating songs. It has ended up becoming a top favorite in our household, especially for my 3 kids.
I was so happy that you started another band, after loving your solo stuff and Rose Blossom Punch, and I was not disappointed. I love this record, and I’m so pleased that you remember it fondly.
I love your work - but Fair stands out as a defining voice that I needed to hear (and still love to hear) at that time. Layers of sounds that I keep looking for in other records - but can't seem to locate anywhere else.
